land thinning and oak planting.

The wife and I purchased 50 acres this summer in Smithdale around McComb.. It will need to be thinned in the next couple of years . Who do I call to do the thinning and does Ms have any programs to come and plant oaks. thanks for any input.

I don't remember just what his job is but he works for the government in a field related to agriculture or forestry in some way and would probably know just who you would need to contact.

Thinning???  If you mean thinning of plantation pines, call Bob Wall Timber in Osyka, Ms.  He is one of the biggest operations in the South.
